A few nervous looks were enough for Manabe to detect that Saki Hanajima was becoming more and more impatient. What did she want from him? He tried to read her mind (if those diviner on the television could do it - why not Manabe?), but it was just as impossible as copying Yuki's answers during an exam. Instead, he felt that her eyes were boring deeper and deeper into his mind and this wasn't pleasant at all. It caused the boy who usually had nerves of steel to shudder.
"I want to know who you are, Manabe Kakeru-san. I know you."
Suddenly, the girl took a step towards him without a warning. This reminded Manabe of a scene from a horror film where a psychopath did the very same thing before he killed his victim. 'These films are x-rated and should be forbidden' he thought and grinned awkwardly before hearing the following words out of Saki's mouth:
"We have met...in the past."
This was kind of funny. He didn't know why, but he just had to laugh at that moment. Ten seconds later, he already regretted it. This girl didn't seem like she was joking... With a big crease between his eyebrows and his forefinger on his chin, he imitated someone who was trying to remember something. The past....there were so many things she could have meant - they could've met in the kindergarden, in the elementary school or - Manabe's eyes widened with surprise. Of course! Why didn't he think of that earlier? Saki Hanajima was usually hanging around with Tohru Honda, and this would mean that she actually knew about his relationship with Yuki's cohabitant. He scratched his head sheepishly and finally opened his mouth with the sound of new-gained self-confindence:
"Ah~ I understand - but I guess it's not because we have met personally, I guess?"

Even before he spoke, Saki had determined what the boy's answer would be; she could discern it easily from the expression on his face.
He didn't understand. She could tell from the look in his eyes and the confused frown upon his face. He didn't know what she meant, and though she knew she had no right to, Hana-chan felt the slightest prick of impatience.
But it wasn't as if she had told him in plain words; she was speaking in riddles, and she realized it. But she wanted her answer.
She expressed none of these thoughts in the look on her face as Manabe forced an awkward smile and answered just as awkwardly.
"To be honest, I don't have the faintest idea of what you mean. What exactly do you want to know?"
Her response was sharper then she had intended it to be. "I want to know who you are, Manabe Kakeru-san. I know you." As she spoke, she had taken several steps forward, her dark eyes focused piercingly on his. "We have met...in the past."
Her tirade finished, she stepped back slightly, relaxing her shoulders, her gaze lessening to a rather loaded stare. "...I trust you have no more misunderstandings?"
Name:Sara Age:15 Character you are applying for:Sesshomaru Why do you want to be this character?: I'm used to roleplaying people with cold personalities but once you get to know them they can be kind. Sesshomaru is also my favorite character from Inuyasha. And I like his hair... Characters' History: Lineage Sesshomaru is one of the sons of the powerful Inu no Taish. Since the Inu no Taish is considered to be a daiy鬹ai (great/lord of yokai), Sesshomaru is, technically speaking, a daiy鬹ai himself. He is mostly a calm and collected person who hardly shows any emotions and rarely laughs. He rarely smiles, and when he does, it's usually not a good thing; as once Jaken begged Sesshomaru to beat him rather than to smile because it was Sesshomaru抯 smile that he feared most. Sesshomaru believes that struggle is the only way for survival and mostly throughout the series shows his contempt for Inuyasha, his half brother.
Characters personality: Although Sesshomaru maintains a cool, uncaring exterior, throughout the story his compassion seems to be growing. When Inuyasha went insane after turning into a y鬹ai, Sesshomaru came to see for himself the power that Inuyasha could produce, and managed to defeat him. He then instructed Kagome to return the Tessaiga to Inuyasha in order to restore him to his former self. It is possible that he lost interest in obtaining the Tessaiga mainly due to Inuyasha's need for the sword to control his y鬹ai blood. He then left claiming that he intends to kill Inuyasha one day, when Inuyasha could adequately fight back. However it is possible that by claiming the right to kill Inuyasha for himself, Sesshomaru is actually doing a backhanded favor for his younger brother. By making this public declaration, Sesshomaru is claiming first right to Inuyasha's death by Sesshomaru's own hand, and at his choice of time and place. Thus Sesshomaru can then choose to battle any shared adversary with no loss of face and without admitting any familial attachment or emotions. This is a curious but historically documented manner of saving face and denying emotional attachment.
Sesshomaru not only tolerates a human Rin, but also acts almost like a father to her and rushes to her aid when she gets in trouble. Naraku once had Kagura kidnap Rin as a get-away plan in his attempt to absorb the body and the y鬹ai power of Sesshomaru. Naraku's plan failed and he tried to escape - Sesshomaru was incensed and began to pursue Naraku. But upon hearing that Rin was in danger, Sesshomaru let him go and came to the aid of the girl.
Even though he is very abusive towards his servant Jaken, he only makes him accompany him when he is facing a weak foe. He has repeatedly warned Jaken to move out of the way prior to an attack. Further, when Naraku first emerged in his y鬹ai form, Sesshomaru told Jaken to stay behind him as he attacked the y鬹ai.
On his way to Mount Hakurei, Sesshomaru saved Kagome, Miroku, and Sango from the poison user Mukotsu, one of the Shichinintai, but once again claimed that he only killed someone who was in his way.
(I did not write that. One of my friends did for his website and he said I could use it.)
Sample (at leats 10-15 lines): 1st person POV
"Sesshomaru-sama." I turned around to look at Rin. "Can I pick some flowers?" She asked. I nodded and she ran to the field of flowers that was on the side of the path. I sat down under a sakura tree that was nearby. 'Rin.' I thought to myself. 'I do not understand. Why do I not hate you like all other humans? Why do I feel like I must protect you? Your like a daughter to me... But you are still human. Why do I ask myself so many useless questions?' "Rin." I called getting up. "Come. We are leaving." She ran over holding a handfull of flowers. As we started down the path again I caught a smell of a demon comming towards us. I stopped and took out my sword. The demon was a neko. I beat it easily but I smelled more demons comming. "Rin. Go over there." I pointed to a tree that had a couple bushes around the bottem of it. There were five demons all together. They would have been easy to defeat but the moved quickly. I heard a scream and realized one of the must have found Rin. I quickly finished off the one I was fighting and turned toward the tree where Rin was hiding. I used my whip to kill the demon attaching Rin and quickly went over to see if she was okay. When I got to her she was unconsious and had a cut on her head. I bandaged the cut and layed her down on the ground then I sat to wait for her to wake. For the first time that I could remember I was worried for someone.
(I know it sucks but it's late right now and I'm tired. I can write another one if this is bad. Sorry.)
